Amelia Gibbons

SINGER — ACTRESS — MUSICIAN

Testimonials

“On stage, a performer and song-and-dance entourage owned a song. A spitfire character ignited a swirl of energy and dynamism and swept everyone into a remarkable moment – one of the most explosive responses in the lifetime of the theater”

“Amelia Gibbons is at the fore, a sparkplug in character, voice and dance…Thursday, the audience’s response to that display was stunning.”

Warren Gerds Review of SNC Next Stage’s Anastasia

“Amelia Gibbons is as rare of a combination as you’re going to find: dynamic triple threat, consummate professional, and difference-making human.”

Limitless is perhaps the highest compliment a performer can receive. Yet, Amelia Gibbons somehow manages to effortlessly personify it.”

Brandon M. Rockstroh, Teacher, Writer, Composer

“Amelia is the most talented and hardworking student I have worked with. She takes her craft very seriously, can belt a torch song but also loft above the staff. Her voice is flexible in the most literal of senses.

She has the drive, talent, and attitude to succeed in musical theatre and beyond.

Kaara McHugh, Co-Artistic Director/Voice Teacher Studio 12 School of Music

Gibbons as Hildy, the amorous cab driver, gets laughs any way she can in her seduction of Ozzie. Her breakneck cab tour of the city is in perfect synch with the staccato beat of the Bernstein music.

She belts out “I Can Cook” in the best Broadway tradition and does high justice to “Ya Got Me.” The audience loved her.

“The energy Amelia brings to the stage is only surpassed by the positive attitude she brings to the rehearsal room.  Amelia is a leader both on and off the stage.  Every time I work with her I notice the entire cast is lifted by her full-out 110% approach to each and every moment.  Amelia is intelligent, funny, spirited and the kindest performer I know.  She is a great combination of directable and gifted.  Working with Amelia is a director's dream.”

- Andrea Hearden, Co-Director/Choreographer of SNC Next Stage

Gibbons, Hudson and Tovar are consistent highlights throughout the show. This trio provides some of the production’s most charming moments, particularly in “Somebody’s Eyes,” where their sharp harmonies and comedic timing shine.”
“Let’s Hear It for the Boy” is a clear crowd favorite, thanks to Shote’s lovably awkward Willard and Gibbons’ vivacious Rusty. Shote’s comedic dancing, paired with Gibbons’ vocals, had the audience cheering long after the number ended.”
